One Sky is a custom text based roleplay site, set in a world beyond our own. Technologically modern, though taking place in a more ancient to medieval setting - you join the world as a mortal. The site is player driven as well as plot driven, with the backstory being only a basis for your character to get involved in this new world, known as Aleha.

Ambition's

"Every day, humans come one step closer to self destruction." Vergil thought to himself as he walked down the stairs. Never feeling emotions, or anything related to being a human, his eyes saw only logic. Vergil was not considered to be human, even though he had human parents. He was more like a hybrid, part human and another part that was currently unkown. In his younger years, he had heard voices calling him from the shadow's. "Humans are weak, naive, yet they have been granted to live this long, attaining more and more control over this world. Even though the elves have so much power, they still cannot wash away the tide of humanity. Humans and elves are both pathetic creatures" Vergil concluded.

When he moved down from the staircase, he went through the hall. He had to be carefull since he did not want to wake up his guest. The girl called Brielle who was allowed to stay here due to family problems was a kind girl, but he did not want her knowing what actually went on in the dungeons of his castle. Opening the door to the dungeon, he went down yet another staircase. At the end of the stone staircase stood a large, thick steel door. The door was very thick and sturdy, made so that not even his shadow powers could pierce.

As he touched the door's surface, it was hearable that the door unlocked itself. Hearing many locks unlocking, the door finally opened, showing a bright, white tiled room. Inside this room, there where five man working hard. Walking past some containment cells, he saw a group of homeless people sitting in it. Being fed soup and break, they would never know what would happen to them. The guards picked homeless people of the streets each and every day, and then brought them to this containment cell block, promissing them food and water. Having atleast a hundred people in the first block, there where two other blocks filled with even more people. In general, Vergil's containment cells held more then fivehundred people from all over the continent.

"Wretches, none of them knowing what is happening to them. They have spent their money on wine and beer, and then they claim that they do not have money for taxes or a house. Fools are what i call them" Vergil said, looking through the thick, transparent walls. As he exited the cell block, he walked over to a man called Solstice. He was the head scientist of this research facility. He was older then Vergil, perhaps even smarter then him on some fields. A year ago, Vergil saved him from death by granting him a job as head scientist of the Adilet Research facility. As he signaled the man, Vergil and Solstice went into a conference room.

"How are things working out with the Anti-virus. I heard the R01-virus wasnt much of a succes, now was it" Vergil said, starting the discussion.Looking the man in the eyes, he wondered what he would hear in response. Seeing the old Ashford working with some viral antibodies, he hoped he would be getting some good news.

"Yes sir, the anti-virus is well on it's way. Though, the R01 seems to be a failure, it did prove capable of bringing back our third test subject. Though he does not look like much, he is highly infectious, and very dangerous. Now, we are using the virus that has adapted to his DNA to create an Anti-virus, as you can see, Ashford is making progress each hour" Solstice told Vergil. "Now, if you would be so kind as to follow me, sir" Solstice asked while opening a door on the side.

As they went into another room, there was yet another containment cell, though this was made for just one person. Seeing a man sitting in the corner, Vergil approached the transparent wall. In a moment's notice, the man jumped out of the corner and rammed into the glass. Showing a somewhat rotten and damaged face, it looked as if this man had been dead for quite some time. Noticing that he was bleeding from some parts of the body, he could not help but ask.

"This virus, does it bring the body back to life in a preserved state from the time of death, or does the body keep rotting even though it is in the more lifely state". "It is still rotting, but as i told you, this is but the first test subject that had survived the testing, More results will come in due time" Solstice prommised Vergil.

"Very well, keep up the good work, and dont waste my finances with failures" Vergil said while leaving the scene. As Solstice went back to work, Ashford had a breakthrough with the Anti-virus. Hoping that it was what he was looking for, he called for Solstice. Hearing the happiness in his voice, Vergil left the scene with a good feeling, a feeling om success.
