One Sky is a custom text based roleplay site, set in a world beyond our own. Technologically modern, though taking place in a more ancient to medieval setting - you join the world as a mortal. The site is player driven as well as plot driven, with the backstory being only a basis for your character to get involved in this new world, known as Aleha.

The surroundings are mostly desolate, with very few traces of life, especially after the collision of the phenomena that consumed nearly a fifth of Aleha. Land here is fairly flat, with the exception of plateaus. Further north, the climate drastically changes from temperate to polar. Snow is common across these lands, but strangely collects only near the Chatzel Mountains. Sivanas, Dhalos, Temir | 3 | 51 | Ford the Path [Q... Tue Dec 21, 2010 4:15 pm Avarice. | | Large protrusions in the land of Wrynos, seperating the regions of Jyrgahl and Khlahan. These mountains reach higher than any other mountains in the world of Aleha, reaching within the clouds, and covered in snow. Naturally, the higher you climb, the more the temperature drops. Avalanches and blizzards are expected within this region. Climbing these mountains is dangerous itself, and getting stranded in Khlahan is only a death wish. Travelers, heed warning to this large death trap. Daina | 1 | 31 | Just North of Da... Thu Nov 18, 2010 12:22 am Eruraina | | Khlahan, also known as "The Land of the Dead", lives up to it's name, and reputation. This region lacks life, and those who happen to stumble within these lands, usually never see the light of day again. The land is naturally dark all the time, only having been touched by the dim light of the stars and moons. Any life that happens to sprout here has adapted to the strange conditions of the land, as well as the animal inhabitants. Travelers normally only walk these lands if in search of rare plants, or animals. Mt. The majority of the population here is Humans, though some Familiars have been accepted among the ranks. Everywhere you look, you are bound to find people. It is home to the royal guard, and holds the most proficient of military traning. Those looking to fight for their country, and just learn how to protect the ones they love are bound to find answers here. Tola, Kreine, Juris | 20 | 261 | Entrance of Conf... Wed Jan 12, 2011 5:26 pm Eruraina | | Trees, trees, and more trees. The Theas Forest takes up about twenty-five percent of Meika itself, and is home to the most common species of life. It stretches across the continent, from west to east. This forest is so large, it is easy to get lost in. And unfortunately, must be passed through in order to get to the Elita Mountains, and beyond. This is definitely the place for hunters. Vilis, Udo, Reisha | 1 | 23 | The Descent[Priv... Mon Nov 15, 2010 7:39 pm Avarice. | | The often traveled mountains of Aleha, the Elita Mountains. Although it's more traveled than that of the Chatzel Mountains, that isn't saying much. The Elita Mountains are no easy task to climb, and can prove to be just as dangerous as the Chatzel Mountains if not traveled carefully. The changing weather makes climate unpredicatable, and changes day to day. The only constant to be noted is that it collects light snow near the summit, and is relatively cold there. Ilonas, Anahera, Zelde | 0 | 0 | | | The trecherous Pheros Dessert. Any traveler having passed through here will tell you it's a living Hell. The temperature is extremely hot during the day, averaging at least forty-five degrees Celcius. And during the night, it drops as far as zero degrees Celcius. All around, there is no 'good time' to travel. If you intend to cross this deadly dessert, make sure to carry plenty of water, and food. Rohmata, Briska, Isahl | 0 | 0 | | | | | Chalos, "The Magic Empire", and home to the Elves. It is the most lively region of Aleha, being home to seventy percent of both the world's plant and animal species. Therefore, anyone living within this region is likely to love nature. Chalos is the perfect place to practice magic, and become one with nature. Those looking to learn the magic arts travel from all over the world to come here. Eidel, Seinda | 0 | 0 | | | The vast jungle of Freyde, containing varieties of species of both plants and animals, and making up the majority of Aleha's life. It is known for its towering trees, and sporadic waterfalls. It covers over half the continent of Freyde, and hold many unexplored areas. Dreinos Jungle is certainly a place to be visited. Phirun, Glukel Lake | 0 | 0 | | | The truly exotic, and beautiful Kreos Island. It is the most tropical of regions, and home to many looking for a peaceful retreat. It's landmark is the dormant volcano, Mt. Lohtra, and proves to be quite the attraction to tourists. Vena, Mt. Lohtra | 0 | 0 | |
